This is the best tyrosine supplement I’ve found! In the past, I would take regular l-tyrosine for an occasional mood/energy boost, but the impact was mild and would wear off quickly. This acetyl form with added b6 is a game changer. Seems to last longer and work much more effectively, even at a lower dose (350mg vs regular at 500mg). As with any amino acid, it’s important to take this on an empty stomach for best absorption and take breaks to maintain effectiveness, but overall I really suggest trying it.This stuff seems pretty potent. I take one pill and I am amp'd! I am thinking about taking half a pill because it really gets me going. This form of Tyrosine breaks down in the the kidneys to just tyrosine, and it makes you produce more dopamine and noradrenaline. I had no this was the case when I took it the first time, and man did i feel energy and a get to it attitude and yes some anxiety. But in terms of energy aand focus and mental clarity it is really good. I gave it 4 stars because of the mild anxiety. But I would recomend starting on a low dose and definitely dont take it in the evening. Also adrenaline bumps will make you more intense, but nothing crazy just watch out if you feel too amp'd up. This combined with Acetyl Carnitine, and boy do you have a potent study aid. I have been suffering from fatigue for so long and this really did the trick for me. I will update this if things change good or bad.Update: I took this for a while then stopped for a bit because it felt like the above benefits were wearing off. It seems like any supplement you take, especially amino acids, will compete with other nutrients in your body. So it is a good idea to take breaks, let you body readjust, and then start using them again. I don't get quite the same boosts as stated above, but it still helps in my opinion. So I took a pill of this N-Acetyl Tyrosine and went for a walk outside in the sunlight. And I was filled with the most wonderful feeling of anything was possible , like my goals were clear in sight and I could do anything. This feeling passed, but it was a wonderful feeling and not one I have too often!Tyrosine influences dopamine which is involved with motivation, the pleasure and reward system and many other aspects of life as well. It is great that the science has been done to point that out, but the first hand experience is what it is all about for me.Now there have been plenty of times when I have taken this where no effect has happened for me. I think setting matters a lot. Being out in the sunlight is a great place, getting some exercise. At the very least be preoccupied with something. I have noticed for me that it doesn't magically work if I am sitting around and ruminating. It says on the bottle to take it with fruit juice on an empty stomach. That helps a lot.As for potential downsides, I am not sure, I haven,t experienced any. It is powerful so I can see how it how it might have unpleasant effects for some people.I don't take N-Acetyl Tyrosine everyday, and it dosen't always work, but I still think it worth it to try it, even if you only one time get a taste of the awesome feeling I describe in the beginning. All the bestAfter starting an SNRI, I found myself eating semi-sweet chocolate chips voraciously. What puzzled me is that, although I like sugary things, I am not a big chocolate eater. I discussed it with my doctor who said chocolate contains dopamine. So I researched dopamine containing foods (not too many) and found out about L-Tyrosine, a substance from which dopamine is synthesized. Working on the theory that I was dopamine deficient, I started out with Jarrow L-Tyrosine, 2 caps. Within 2 weeks my chocolate cravings lowered quite a bit, and I went to 3 caps. After reading about the greater absorption qualities of N-Acetyl Tyrosine, I switched to it. I have been taking 2 tablets in the morning before food, and these days the thought of eating chocolate is rarely on my mind. Now if only I could find out why I'm so into glazed donuts (another food I never ate!) Keep in mind everyone's brain chemistry is pretty unique, but this worked wonders for me.Update 1/27/15: Still taking the N-Acetyl Tyrosine but down to 1 pill in the morning. No chocolate cravings. I may ramp down even more to 1 pill every other day or eventually stop and see what happens.I honestly wanted this stuff to work...but it just wasn't happening. I just saw the numerous good reviews on it, and was draw to having NALT increase my energy. However, the only time that I feel energized is when I'm about to work out. Other than that....I feel drained physically & mentally for the rest of the day after taking this supplement. Even on days that I don't exercise, I still don't feel as energetic as when I avoid this supplement for the whole day...I can't hear my alarm, it's harder to get out of bed, and I feel more tired throughout the day. After doing some research, though, I've found out that it's actually regular L-Tyrosine that's stronger than NALT. It's been said that NALT goes through the blood-brain barrier & has better absorption than L-Tyrosine, but keep in mind that faster absorption doesn't always mean that it's better....In fact, most of it goes right through you, and your body would only have very little NALT to use. Some companies try to pass off that NALT is stronger than L-Tyrosine & put this in their pre-workout supplements, but I think that it's just amarketing ploy so that people would pay more cash for a product that's not as effective.I wrote all of this after NOT taking N-Acetyl L Tyrosine by Jarrow Formulas. If you want more bang for your buck, stick to regular L-Tyrosine.I'm sure that not everyone is going to have the bad experiences that I've had with this supplement, but it's just not the right product for me. Either sell it or throw the stuff away if you have it.Does workWirkung garantiert kein Kaffein supp mehr
