Probably my favorite amino recovery drink. Taste amazing too!The taste is amazing and it has helped tremendously with muscles aches after working out.GasI've been really enjoying this post-workout drink. I do heavy lifting and sometimes I feel a very week after an intense workout and this helps boost my energy back up. It's not super sweet which is great! The last thing I need a super sweet drink when I'm so thirsty and exhausted. I find it very refreshing. It does dilute well but you will find a few particles in the bottom of your glass. But I personally don't mind that. It definitely helps recover from HIIT training. I do notice a difference in the strength of my muscles the next day. I sometimes wake up very fatigued and struggle to make it to the gym. But since I started drinking this post-workout drink I definitely feel more rested. And I am ready to push more. I've tried so many post-workout drinks like this one and this has to be one of my favorites. This is our first time trying the Max Effort brand. I am always on the lookout for different BCAA supplements that offer something new, beneficial, etc. I was intrigued by the cherry lemonade flavor and wanted to give it a try! (I LOVE most things lemonade flavor, especially when they have the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness!)The colorful 30-serving packaging is very eye catching and definitely stands out from other brands on the market. It does come with a scoop which was easy to find upon opening. I didn't have to dig around for it as it was right on top. This taste was very subtle. The cherry flavor is somewhat tart and shines through way more than the lemonade flavor. It didn't really have a strong bitter aftertaste but there is a hint of a sour aftertaste after drinking it. It isn't very sweet at all so if you aren't a fan of tart cherry, this may not be for you. I was definitely expecting the flavor to be stronger and not so watered down but it isn't necessarily unpleasant, just weak.I was quite impressed with how well the product dissolved in room temperate water. No residue left behind, no floating particles, no chunks on the bottom. The powder was extremely fine which I'm sure contributed to how well it dissolved. I followed the instructions on the label verbatim. (1 scoop in 10 oz water) Sometimes I need to use my small Blender Bottle to mix up these kinds of supplements but it wasn't necessary with this one.It might not be the best tasting but it gets the job done and contains ingredients that we feel good about. (higher amounts of beneficial BCAA's than other brands)The Cherry Lemonade really does taste great, but the ounce or few of this stuff in the bottom of the shaker is gritty as all get out! After trying the first serving I was hoping it was a one off and the rest of the servings would be better. Not the case. To solve that I just don't drink the last little bit in my shaker cup. Also, if you're taking a full scoop of this, which isn't necessary, it will get mighty expensive with 30 servings costing darn near $45 with tax. It's the standard 2:1:1 BCAA ratio with 5g of L-Leucine, 2.5g of Isoleucine and 2.5g of Valine. Plus you get 5 g of Glutamine and some electrolytes in every full scoop. Personally, I think a half scoop or maybe a bit more is plenty whether you're taking this intra or post workout. Just too expensive to be using full scoops for something as basic as this formula: BCAA's, Glutamine and Electrolytes. If you're looking for a great tasting BCAA product and don't mind the bottom of the cup grittiness and use it sensibly, then this is a great find!Like most others, my go-to post-workout beverage of choice is an ice-cold glass of chocolate milk. However, chocolate milk isn't the most nutritious way to finish off a workout and sometimes you want some variety. This Max Effort Muscle Post-Workout mix is a nice alternative. It provides branched-chain amino acids, including 10 grams of BCAAs, 5 grams of Glutamine, and tastes great.Max Effort Muscle Post-Workout mix isn't a perfect product though. I was particularly disappointed to find that macronutrient information like calories and sugar was missing or at the least so hard to find I have yet to discover what either of those are. It was made in a facility that also produces allergens like wheat shellfish and nuts. It's also much more expensive than chocolate milk. I can get a gallon of chocolate milk for less than 5 bucks. This stuff is almost 9 times more expensive, and while it's effective I cannot say it's 9 times more effective than chocolate milk.Overall, if you're looking for a post-workout beverage Max Effort Muscle offers a nice alternative to chocolate milk. It provides branched-chain amino acids, including 10 grams of BCAAs, 5 grams of Glutamine, and tastes great. The downsides are that important macronutrient information (calories and sugars) are hidden/missing and this stuff is expensive at 42 bucks for a 30-day supply. 3.5 out of 5.0This stuff tastes delicious and mixes well.As stated in the description it has a blend of Leucine, Valine, and Isoleucine delivers 10 grams of valuable BCAAs and a fully dosed 5 grams of Glutamine.I'm in my 40s. At one point, after years of just putting up with a particular fatigue issue in my legs, with huge pain, and tightness, that would set in just about a few minutes into my exercise hikes, and made it impossible for me to even do the hike on many occasions, I started looking into things, and discovered BCAAs. The first time I went out for a hike with this stuff in me, it was amazing. I have started working out and I don’t know if it was placebo or what, but my muscle soreness was gone the day or two after I had a few doses. I remember when I worked out years ago I would have muscles soreness for days when I started.Anyway, placebo or not, I’m glad this product exists and that it tastes as great as it does!
